A Family Affair
A bit about us…., Hello and welcome, I’m Beth, and was born late 60’s on the North Wales coast, and now reside in the picturesque Cheshire countryside. With an artistic background, I had a passion to create beautiful things, and In my spare time, I engaged in various creative endeavors and completed an interior design course.
Several years ago, I developed an interest in restoring vintage furniture. This hobby quickly gained popularity, revealing a market demand for my work.
Following on from this, Grandad Jeff saved an old wooden rocking horse from being discarded by a neighbour. We had no idea at the time how significant this would become. Together, we restored the horse, receiving numerous compliments, which was perfect since horses have been a lifelong passion of mine, having ridden, owned, and competed for most of my life. As a child, I always wished for a rocking horse, but it never appeared under the Christmas tree. Now, surrounded by these beautiful Antique horses, I’m in Rocking Horse Heaven. Whilst I no longer get chance to paint furniture, I continue to paint and restore Antique Rocking Horses, which have become incredibly popular.
Garry, my partner, helps with the more challenging tasks like removing stubborn screws, drilling, and sanding whenever he can. Jeff, Garry’s dad, very sadly passed away in 2023, he excelled at making the horses structurally sound. He had a knack for crafting perfect ears, knees, and resetting horses’ legs, but now it’s down to me, fortunately, he taught me well.
